” Ordinary people discovering together the love of Jesus, spreading hope into our community and sowing and growing God’s seeds of faith in people’s hearts by his Spirit “
St Mary’s Church is a welcoming and vibrant Anglican community that has seen significant growth in younger people finding faith over the past 18 months. Our diverse congregation gathers for contemporary worship with two Sunday services: a formal communion at 9.00am and a family friendly service at 10.30am, featuring monthly communion.
The church has stood at the centre of the parish for over 650 years and continues its traditions of worship and prayer, with an openness to the healing power of the Holy Spirit. We welcome all who are seeking to know more of God’s incredible love for us and how that can transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
Our Life Groups meet during the week and offer opportunities for fellowship, bible study, prayer and mutual encouragement, aiming to nurture faith and foster new disciples.
Regular activities include a weekly Youth Group, Little Angels for parents and toddlers, a monthly men’s breakfast and a fortnightly Oasis group for women. See our ‘What’s on’ page for more details.
We aim to connect practically and spiritually with our community, seeking to bring hope and encourage faith.
